ABFOM GENERAL MEETING

Hi Everyone!
ABFOM (Acton-Boxborough Friends of Music) will be holding our annual General Meeting on Oct. 18 at 6:00pm (location TBD). There will be performances by the band, chorus, and orchestra! This is a great way to see how much your children have accomplished in such a short time!
Following the performances, there will be a short overview of who ABFOM is and what we do! We will also answer any questions you may have!

Marching Band 101 Reminder – Mandatory for New Parents!
A reminder that we will be hosting Marching Band 101, a training and Q&A session for parents who are new to the ABRHS Marching Band program.
Meeting is August 17th at 07:30 PM in the AB Junior High Band room. Enter through the backdoor, which is near the entrance gate to the ABRHS Football field. (You’ll see us in there!)
The ABRHS Marching Band program is a significant and unique experience, and this meeting will go over:
- Introduce ABFOM and officers
- What your students will be doing during band camp and the upcoming football/marching season
- How to volunteer to support your students and the program
- Uniform care and maintenance
- Expectations of you, the parent
- General questions and answers
The meeting will end at 08:30 and parents will be able to go out and watch the band.
Band Orientation, Sunday August 14th from 9:30-11:30 AM
Freshman/New Member band orientation starts at 9:30AM and will last until 11:30 AM.
Attendance is required.
This is an event for your new band student to get to know some of the other band members and get some initial exposure to all the exciting things that will be happening in the upcoming week. It’s very important, but also a heck of a lot of fun!
